What the customer sees (savings, payback)
The E85 simulator calculates the yearly savings and the payback time from your prices or those of stations near the customer.
Before you start
- The E85 simulator set up ("Settings" tab) and placed on your website, or opened from "View the simulator".
Prices and the customer's profile
At the top, the line "Prices set by" followed by your garage's name shows your E85 and SP95 prices. The customer sets their "Yearly mileage" (3,000 to 60,000 km) and "Consumption" (4 to 20 L/100) with two sliders. The calculation updates straight away.
Prices near them
With "Prices near me", the customer types a town or postcode (France). The simulator averages the 3 nearest E85 stations, within 50 km. "Show stations" lists them with the distance and the price date.
Yearly savings
"Yearly savings" compares the yearly cost of SP95 and E85, with 25% more consumption on E85. At 20,000 km, 7.5 L/100, SP95 at €1.85 and E85 at €0.79: €2,775 against €1,481, so €1,294 (−47%). Otherwise the card shows "Yearly extra cost".
Payback
"Paid back in" divides your conversion price by the savings: €390 for €1,294 a year gives 4 months. Beyond 24 months, the time switches to years. The card needs "Payback" turned on and a known price.
The buttons
At the bottom, your price (or "On quote") and your buttons, by default "Book an appointment" and "Request a conversion quote". The text under the calculation reminds that the result is an estimate.
The quote request
The "Your E85 conversion quote" form recalls the choice and the savings. The customer gives their first name, a phone or email, and optionally their vehicle and plate. After "Send my request", they see "Request sent".
What your customer sees
You get the request in "Requests", titled "E85 conversion quote", with the choice, the profile, the estimate shown and the prices used (your prices or those of stations near the chosen town).
If it doesn't work
- The customer finds no station.
- Without an E85 station within 50 km, the message "No E85 station within 50 km" shows and the calculation keeps your prices.
- The payback time does not appear.
- Turn on "Payback" and set a conversion price. With an E85 service "On quote", no payback time is calculated.
