Quotes and invoices
Turn a quote into an invoice
An accepted quote becomes a draft invoice with the same lines, which you review and then issue.
Before you start
- Invoicing is only available to accounts based in France.
- The quote has the "Accepted" status: click "Mark accepted", or the customer booked their slot from the email.
Find the quotes to invoice
In "Quotes and invoices", "Quotes" tab, the "Accepted, to invoice" tile counts your accepted quotes. The "Accepted" filter lists them.
Create the invoice
Open the quote and click "Create the invoice" at the top right. From the list, the row's ⋯ menu also offers "Create the invoice".
Confirm
The "Invoice quote …?" window explains that a draft invoice is created with the same lines. Click "Create the invoice". The invoice opens.
What is carried over
Customer, vehicle, registration, mileage, lines, discount, VAT, notes and terms. The date is today's, the due date 30 days later. The type of operations comes from the quote, otherwise from your settings. Price display follows the quote.
Review and issue
The invoice is a draft with no number: "Edit" in the ⋯ menu lets you correct it. Click "Issue": it gets its number following the previous one and can no longer be edited.
The quote moves to "Invoiced"
The quote gets the "Invoiced" status. Its page shows "This quote has been invoiced." with "View invoice".
What your customer sees
Nothing is sent on creation. Once issued, send the invoice with "Send by email" in the ⋯ menu.
If it doesn't work
- I don't see "Create the invoice".
- The quote is not "Accepted". Click "Mark accepted" first.
- A message blocks the creation.
- Without the Pro plan, you can create 3 invoices, conversions included.
- I clicked twice.
- Only one invoice is created per quote.
