Quotes and invoices

Exporting for my accountant

"Accounting export" produces the FEC file of the invoices and credit notes issued over a period, to pass on to your accountant.

Before you start

  • Invoicing is only available to accounts whose country is France.
  • Only issued invoices and credit notes are exported. Drafts are left out.
  1. Open the export

In "Quotes and invoices", "Invoices" tab, click "Accounting export" at the top right.

  2. Choose the period

In "Preset period", choose "Current month", "Previous month", "Quarter", "Year" or "Previous year". You can also set "Start date" and "End date"; the end date cannot be later than today.

  3. Choose the format

In "Export format", keep "CSV - FEC format" for your accountant. "JSON - Structured format" is for an advanced import.

  4. Download

Click "Download". The file export_comptable_<start>_<end>.csv is saved.

  5. What the file contains

One entry per invoice or credit note, in date order, in the VE Ventes (sales) journal: 411000 debited with the amount including VAT, 706000 for services or 707000 for parts, and the VAT collected credited. A credit note posts the same accounts the other way round, which offsets the cancelled invoice.

  6. Export a selection

For a simple table, select invoices in the list then click "Export" in the bottom bar: a CSV with number, date, customer, vehicle, registration, status, due date and amount including VAT.

What your customer sees

Nothing is visible to your customers.

If it doesn't work

"No invoice issued over this period."
No invoice or credit note was issued between these dates. Widen the period or issue your drafts.
The window mentions account 707000 but my services are in 706000.
The file separates services (706000) and parts (707000) according to the nature of each invoice.
